Nicaela Callimanopulos was born in New York City, in 1961.

Of Greek and British descent, Nicaela was raised in New York and Paris. She began her studies in painting and sculpture in France and did her graduate work at California College of the Arts in sculpture and film.

She has travelled extensively and continues to be deeply influenced by the varied cultures and lands she has experienced. Nicaela's work reflects her interest in the fusion of art, beauty, and the idea of universal spiritual consciousness.

Nicaela has had solo and group shows of her work in galleries in Greece, Europe, California, and New York. Her paintings, sculptures and installations are in a number of private and public collections internationally.
